We have been able to get pictures back on the site for you, but at present we can not update our front page or news page, by June we should have a new website up and runny with no issues. WE HAVE JUST BECOME A COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY so for any one wanting to donate or live Babbington rescue dogs money in their wills you need our registered number which is No. 06317467. Every penny used to run our rescue has to be earned, we recieve some small donations for which we are very greatful. We have to raise a minimum of £2800 per WEEK to survive. Our rehoming fee does NOT cover this as the rehoming fee you pay when adopting a dog, pays for its vaccinations, mircochip and keep while being cared for here. Babbington Hall Boarding Kennels and Cattery helps to fund the rescue, so by boarding with us you also help Animal Welfare. Rescue dogs are mainly abandoned animals, so we do not have any history for the dogs but carry out extensive assessments to give you an indication of each dogs likes and dislikes, you are also invited to spend as much time as you like with any dog prior to adoption. The mix off rescue dogs is generally 85% cross breeds, 10% Pedigree and 5% puppies. We do not have any dog put to sleep because of breed, age or medical conditions or to make spaces in the rescue. We have no hidden "life policy" where dogs are put to sleep after a certain amount of time in kennels. When visiting a rescue please ensure that is truley what it is! If the mix of dogs is heavily towards pedigree dogs and any breed of puppies, it is very likely to be trading and breeding dogs NOT a RESCUE. You have to be careful as in all areas, some people are untruthful just to get you. Most rescues have a mix of dogs including the old, the ugly, the ill and the ones who have been neglected and untrained and now too much trouble. Of course it is your decision which "rescue" you chose your new companion from, but please be honest with yourselves, puppies are rarely 'strays' and buying a puppy is just that. If we decided to provide a puppy for everyone that asked, we'd be very wealthy "rescue"! Thank you.
