NEW RESCUE BLOCK - Written 3/8
|
We have just recieved planning permission to build another 12kennels, as there are so many strays we do not have room for everyone, which means dogs that do not get in to Babbington Rescue and go to other kennels are being put down. We have had NO funding off anyone to help build these kennels and it is costing us around £50,000. So any donations towards saving extra dogs lives would be greatly recieved. The block will save an estimated 500 dogs lives a year. So we think its worth it!!
WE HAVE STARTED BUILDING THIS WEEK AND CAN ALREADY SEE THE SIZE OF THE BLOCK ALL GOING WELL, IF WE DONT RUN OUT OF MONEY IT SHOULD BE UP AND RUNNING IN SEPTEMBER. BY US DOING THIS YOU CAN SEE WE ARE TRUELY HERE FOR THE DOGS AND NOT TO MAKE MONEY !!!

SKYS UPDATE ON OPS
|
The Mum do our Mastiff pups was sent to the vets on Monday 23rd June to be speyed and have a major eye operation all that was going to cost us from £800 plus. But when she was checked they found she had a major issue with one of her knee joints and the main vet at Scarsdale said it must be operated on that day as if Sky put on any more weight then the jiont wouldnt hold her. This is costing us another £600 just for the knee operation. If you can spare any change for us to help towards paying for this operation we would be most greatful as at present we have no more money to fund anything else that has health problems.
UPDATE - SKY HAS HAD ALL OPERATIONS AND IS DOING REALLY WELL IN THE END IT COST US £1200 SO KNOW WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE BEST HOME FOR HER WITH SOMEONE THAT WILL CARE FOR HER TILL THE END.

VERNON
|
Vernon has been with as 2 months, when he first came in he had a limp but the dog wardens vet said he would be fine after a few days on pain killers. Four days later he was sound, but we noticed about 2 weeks ago the muscle tone disappearing on his back leg so we took him to \scarsdale vets and he has a hip that doesnt rotate and what they think may be an old pin in his leg. So we have all fallen in love with him so are finding the money to operate and he is booked in for Wednesday 27th August.

THANK YOU ALISON GREENWELL AND FAMILY
|
This is a big thank you and to tell everyone out there what wonderful people there are coming to our rescue. On the 3rd August we had a little 9 month old, male, SBT brought in by the dog wardens. When Gizmo came in he had a limp on his back leg so we made the dog wardens take him to the vet twice, he was given pain killers but the vets said that he needed an operation on his back leg ligaments to make him right. Gizmo had lots of people interested in him but we had to ring everyone to tell them the news and didnt we get a shock when we ring Alison and her family when they said they would donate £500 towards Gizmos operation if we thought they would be a good home for him. So he is know living in Melton Mowbray with his new family waiting to be totally fit to come back to Derby to Scarsdale vets to have his operation. So thank you again.
